What is VRW and how is it developing and growing? The current VRW record is a successful 108 person head-down at SDC in July of 2009.

What is Virtual Relative Work (VRW)?
VRW is similar to more traditional belly-to-earth RW in that skydivers attempt to take docks and fly relative to each other. However, VRW utilizes freefly techniques and positions rather than RW positions. VRW participants may fly relative to each in combinations of various head-down or feet-down positions.
Body Positions
Body flight in VRW is typically head-down or feet-down (or a transition between the two.) There are many different types of docks that can be taken.

VRW in Competition
VRW is a category at Nationals in the United States. Competition VRW involves five fliers â four participants that attempt to dock as many times as possible according to the dive they have been assigned â and one cameraman flying relative to the group to obtain footage for judging. Info on the VRW dive pool can be found here.
